This is a poignant article by William McGurn in the Wall Street Journal.
I was at the NDResponse rally at Notre Dame on Sunday. I was joined by THOUSANDS of people on the South Quad of the Campus for an outdoor mass and a pro-life rally. This, typically, did not make this news. Instead, the media focused on the arrests of Randall Terry's group and Obama. Why not report the pro-life rally by the students? Oh, because that would show the American public that thousands of people support the bishops, and we can't have that, can we? That would tarnish ring-a-ding kid.
A recent report has come out that the NYT buried a story right before the election showing proof of the Obama campaign to ACORN. Are you surprised? Will there be any public outcry? Nah. Contrast this to the election of 2004. CBS news went with a story right before the election in 2004 falsely claiming that Bush lied about his National Guard service. They did this to deliberately affect the outcome of the election in Kerry's favor. So, the media withholds information when it favors the Democrats, and is willing to lie when if favors the Democrats. Nice. The media is no longer pretending to be a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. God help us!
