Matthews Insults Rice & Powell

Last week on MSNBC, Chris Matthews said that Condeleeza Rice's and Colin Powell's appointments as Secretary of State were "showcase appointments". This really upsets me because if it hadn't been for Rice and Powell, Obama's nomination would not have been plausible. Rice and Powell showed the American public, and the world, that a person of color could be patriotic and represent the best interests of our nation. Matthews is a gasbag who needs his meds.
