Thank God! No one in Chicago wanted the Olympics here anyway. As one critic put it, the "IOC was the one election Daley couldn't rig". I am just going to savor this political disaster for the President and Daley for as long as I can. This is huge! Daley wanted this so bad. So bad, in fact, that he raised our sales tax, sold the parking meters (which raised fees), put an extra tax on soda and soft drinks, sold the skyway, etc. Hopefully, he'll also lose reelection as well. The Mayor needs to understand that the office he holds is not for his own personal glory. The office he holds is to serve the interests of the people of this city. It's time for Daley to go!
