Great article by John Fund in the Wall Street Journal. The recent controversy surrounding Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich highlights one of the issues raised the recent presidential campaign. The McCain campaign often noted the fact that Sarah Palin, and McCain himself, often took on the corruption in their own parties. The issue caused yawning in the mainstream media. Now that a close political ally of Obama is now indicted for corruption, the most Obama can say is that he was some how able to rise up the ranks of Illinois politics without being tainted by it. Did he fight the corruption? Hell no! He just side stepped it. It remains to be seen if this will touch Obama. But, his cowardice is glaring.
