The Buckley Apostasy

I am not sure why people are so surprised by Christopher Buckley's endorsement of Obama. I have to admit that it really hurts, considering how much I admired his father. As a matter of fact, there is probably no one on earth that influenced me more politically than WFB. However, if you ever read Christopher Buckley's books, you never got the impression he was a conservative, especially a social conservative. He's a child of the 60's and believes accordingly. J.R. Dunn has a great take on the exit of so many conservatives during this election. Truth be told, Frum, Noonan, Buckley, Parker, etc. were never social conservatives. You cannot believe in the sancity of life and vote for Obama.
