Oh, No She Didn't...

On Meet the Press this morning, Tom Brokaw asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi about Pastor Rick Warren's question to Barak Obama about when a baby is entitled to human rights. Pelosi said that she is a practicing Catholic (uh...okay) and the Catholic Church has been debating for centuries when life begins (as if they have not come to a decision about this). To his credit, Tom Brokaw said "I'm pretty sure they teach that it's at the moment of conception". Uh, Madame Speaker, perhaps you ought to check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which clearly states that life begins at the moment of conception.
