Jerusalem Church Leaders Reject Christian Zionism
Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant leaders in Jerusalem rejected Christian Zionism, stating that it is a particular interpretation of the Book of Revelations that puts an "emphasis on apocalyptic events leading to the end of history rather than living Christ's love and justice today". I think Christians, Catholics in particular, need to distance themselves from the views of many Evangelical Christians. I support a two state system in the Middle East. Perhaps I am delusional, but I believe that the Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace. Christians supporting Israel for "end the world" reasons, doesn't help.
