US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Lebanese Catholic Patriarch recently and assure him that the international community must help Lebanon apply UN Security Council Resolution 1559, which calls for the strict respect of Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence under the sole and exclusive authority of the government of Lebanon throughout the country.
